Pregnant

This morning my wife told me she is pregnant. Phew. We had just had sex and in the sticky afterglow she sort of let it drop and said something after she asked for the tissues. * Well there you go. Two girls already. Let's see what happens - it's a bit early in biological terms for anything on Facebook or whatever, but for all my alcoholic friends perhaps we can bend the rules a bit. * ;?More soon. Keeping sober and working bloody hard.

  7. That is lovely clucky news. I am glad. As a child of an alcoholic, my instinct is to preach. I shall try not to. but a new baby is a wonderful opportunity to redo a whole load of stuff cleanly...

  10. Thanks for your post. Real stuff! I hope all is well. I got sober when I was 17 and had a kid on the way. Luckily I was able to find recovery and i have been sober for the last 8 years and my daughter is growing up in a safe home. I got help from a sober living called New Life House. Check out their site if you are looking for help New Life House

  11. New to this blog (I love great blogs and stumbled here from somewhere else) and I have read all of your posts in the last two days - just wondering how you were doing?? Your posting seems to have slowed, which has me a little concerned...

My addiction issues are really my nightly cocktail and two smokes a day, neither of which are good for me and yet so hard to give up, but I think we can all relate to your struggles with "the voice in the head", which we are all cursed with as human beings... that coupled with our "painful stories", those things that we carry around with us even if they do us no good...

My hope is that your spring setbacks are behind you and that you are finding some peace in just being. I really hope that is the case. Be well.
